CLYDEBANK comedian Kevin Bridges looks set for a great 2010 with a UK tour, a 10,000-seater gig, TV appearances and a DVD all on the schedule.

The 23-year-old comic from Hardgate - who made his breakthrough last year - is performing a "homecoming" Glasgow show in May as part of his Kevin Bridges Live tour of the UK and Ireland.

And he is already booked to appear on two top comedy TV panel shows.

Tickets are almost sold out for the 10,000 capacity SECC gig with touts offering the £20 briefs for up to £80 on E-bay.

And with the same management team as household name Michael McIntyre, it would seem the blossoming talent could be destined to hit the big time.

So if you are looking for stocking filler come December, Kevin's specially recorded DVD from the SECC is likely to be a popular choice.

Kevin told the Post: "I'm doing a tour of the UK and Ireland and the Glasgow show is being recorded for the DVD.

"Most of the Scottish dates have about fifteen-hundred seats and in Manchester and Newcastle there's about six-hundred or seven-hundred.

"The Glasgow show is the biggest because it's a homecoming gig but there will be two big screens so everyone can see from the back.

"It's the first tour I'm doing on my own so I'm looking forward to it.

"It's good to know people are paying to see you - it means you have got a head start.

"The tour starts in April and the DVD will be out next November.

"It was the management's idea to do the DVD - I don't have any ideas like that I just turn up and do the jokes."
