SERIAL bride Sandra McNab has left husband number eight "destitute" and trying to sell his story after she walked out of their marriage after just 10 days.

Devastated Jim Beggs, 55, was married to the woman dubbed 'Clydebank's Liz Taylor' in a secret ceremony on the isle of Arran on November 3.

The Post broke the story of their impending nuptials last month, but the union lasted less than a fortnight as Sandra stormed out of their Ayrshire home after a petty argument.

She has now hired an agent and plans to publish a book about her marathon vow-taking.

It is not yet known if she has returned to Clydebank.

Jim contacted the Post this week saying that Sandra "has left me destitute" as he looked for a fee to talk about the costly experience.

Jim's daughter Margaret Reilly said she heard about the breakdown in the relationship at the weekend and said her family would help him get through the anguish.

Margaret told the Post: "We're happy this woman is out his life.

"He was never a husband to her - he was a number."

Sandra's new agent yesterday refused to comment on behalf of the Drumry woman.
