A woman has been left distraught after her puppy was snatched from outside a shop.

Debbie Williamson is so desperate for the return of her pet that she is offering a £400 reward, half of which is being put up by concerned Dalmuir butcher Scott Longster.

Takara was tied to some railings outside the Dalmuir Co-op while Debbie popped inside.

She returned just minutes later to find the dog had been taken.

Frantic with worry, she spoke to people nearby and found a taxi driver who said he thought he saw someone attempting to get in a taxi with a dog matching Takara's description.

The faun dog is a cross between a Boxer and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

The £400 will be paid by Debbie once the dog is safely back in her possession.

Takara is just under a year-old and was taken from outside the Dalmuir Co-op around 1.30pm on Tuesday October 27.

Anyone with information of her whereabouts can contact the Clydebank Post on 0141 952 0565.
