WANNABE soccer stars are getting into the groove by working out to swinging samba music in a unique coaching course.
'Soccercise' has proved a hit for ball players with a sense of rhythm in the area.
Run by fitness buff Bill Stevenson, the strength and endurance tests, specialised to help footballers, have been used to breed a generation of international players looking to make their mark on the nation's favourite sport.
Ex-army man Bill, 62, learned the South American-style work-out and brought it to the Donald Dewar Centre, in Drumchapel, where both men and women turn out to strut their stuff like Messi and Kaka.
Bill told the Post: "I was taught this myself by an ex-physical training instructor (PTI) in the army about seven-years-ago when I worked in a private gym in Glasgow, and when I left there I took the concept to the Donald Dewar Centre with me.
"I am the only one who has stuck with it in the area and I have found it very successful in bringing through young players.
"From the Drumchapel United side which comes along for sessions, we have six of the guys playing for the Scotland side which is fantastic."
Places at Soccercise, which is at 7.30pm, can be booked by calling 0141 276 0774.
