A DRUMRY man who sprayed an aerosol and ignited it near an air vent has appeared in court.

Stephen McKenzie previously pleaded guilty to culpably and recklessly carrying out the act with total disregard to the consequences of his actions at his home on Montrose Street on March 16 this year.

The 30-year-old also admitted behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting, swearing and uttering religious remarks at two locations in Clydebank Police Station on March 16 and 17.

McKenzie appeared for sentencing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week.

Philip Lafferty, defending, said there was no report available because his client had failed to attend a meeting with the social work department because he had no money to travel there.

Sheriff Craig Turnbull warned McKenzie to arrange another appointment as soon as possible or he would send him to prison. Sentence was deferred for the report previously called for and McKenzie will return to court on September 10.
