A NURSE at Clydebank’s Golden Jubilee Hospital shaved her head earlier this month to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care.
Michelle Moffat 'braved the shave’ after seeing some of her patients battle cancer and live with the affects of chemotherapy.
The 33 year-old from Dumbarton said: “I’ve had friends and family battle cancer and treated patients and I’ve seen how hard the Macmillan nurses work and thought this would be an amazing opportunity to raise money.
“I was really nervous, I would never in my life have shaved my head as I’m quite vain, but I thought it’s just hair’ – it’ll grow back. People who battle cancer go through such horrendous treatment and are so brave.” So far Michelle has raised £700.
