The Friends star told a celebrity magazine she was smitten by stories of the town’s industrial past.

Aniston, 46, is believed to be considering the town hall after hearing that it was refurbished from a friend.

She is currently filming in London for a new comedy flick directed by 40 Years a Virgin creator Judd Apatow.

A source close to Aniston said: “Jennifer hasn’t actually been to Clydebank but she is completely obsessed with shipbuilding.

“At a dinner in London a friend was talking to her about shipbuilding and she brought up Clydebank.

“I didn’t think she was serious but apparently she had looked it up and thought the town hall was perfect.” Hubby-to-be Justin Theroux got a special present earlier this year when stunner Aniston accepted his proposal.

Just this Monday Jennifer was gawked at by star-struck onlookers in Edinburgh train station using the self-service ticket terminals.

Moreover, the beauty made reference to Scotland on her Twitter account after posting about her love for the Scottish countryside.

The source told a celebrity magazine: “When Jennifer does something, she does it right. If she goes for Clydebank no expense will be spared.”
