A man was walking in Stanford Street at around 8.15pm on Monday, February 9, when he was approached by a man and woman who engaged him in conversation then demanded money.
They pushed the 22-year-old victim to the ground, assaulted him and took his phone and wallet that contained a two-figure sum of money. The man sustained a hand injury but did not require hospital treatment.
The suspects are described as a white woman with bleached blonde hair wearing a white vest top and a white man with short, dark hair wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit.
Detective Constable Keith Drummond, of Clydebank Police Office, said: “Since the robbery happened, we have carried out a number of enquiries in the local area including checking CCTV in an effort to identify the couple responsible.
“I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information that may assist this police investigation, to contact Police Scotland on 101.
“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
