On Sunday, September 9, a 32-year-old woman was seriously sexually assaulted by two men between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on the canal path near Jellicoe Street, Dalmuir.

The victim had been travelling on a bus from Glasgow’s St Enoch Centre with the two men and during the course of the journey the pair of thugs violently attacked a man on the vehicle.

Passengers — including the rape victim — witnessed the duo batter the man and then eject him from the bus in Scotstoun.

They then got off the bus on Dumbarton Road near to where the assault took place and attacked the woman.

Extensive door to door enquiries and interviewing of witnesses have provided crucial information in the investigation, however Clydebank detectives are still keen for anyone who hasn’t yet spoken up get in touch.

One of the men is described as white, in his mid 20s, around 5ft 9 and of a slim build.

He had a shaved head and was wearing a black puffy jacket and dark jeans or joggers.

The other man was said to be in his late 20s, around 5ft 6 and was wearing a dark jacket or shirt.
