The charity event on Saturday was held in memory of friend of the club, Catherine Ferrier, who passed away in April following a three-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Les Durkan, a director at Yoker Bowling Club, said: “Everything went really well despite the best attempts of the weather.
“We had a few guests and people who hadn’t played bowls before and they were very welcome.
“Catherine had asked that if we carried out fundraising work, the money went to Cancer Research so we were happy to go along with her wishes.” The challenge match raised £540.
