The increase follows the Scottish Government’s decision to invest at least £280 million into childcare over the next two years.
The money will see annual funded provision for three and four-year-olds rise to 600 hours. It is also expected to extend to the 27 per cent of most disadvantaged two-year-olds.
Parents who believe their child may be eligible for funded provision this year, whether in the first term or later, are encouraged to contact West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC).
