With the referendum on Scotland’s future taking place next month the Kilbowie Road shop is also hoping to clarify some of the unanswered questions residents might have about independence in the build up to big vote.
It was officially opened at the weekend by members of the Upper Clyde Ship Builders Workers Union.
Clydebank MSP Gil Paterson said: “We were indeed honoured to have giants of the shipyard workers union to open Yes Clydebank. It was fantastic to see so many people turn out.” Danny McCaffery, chairman of Yes West Dunbartonshire, added: “We kept hearing ‘there’s no answers, everywhere I go nobody can tell me the answers’ so we opened the Yes Clydebank shop so people can come and buy memorabilia and can ask us any questions they like and we’ll try and answer them.” The new shop is open Monday to Thursday 9.30am-8.30pm, Friday 9.30-3.30pm and 9.30am-1.30pm on Saturday.
