Last week ScotRail revealed new customer help points which allow customers to request information and assistance would be installed at Bowling, Clydebank, Dalmuir, Drumry, Singer and Yoker stations.
Additional ticket vending facilities will also be installed at Dalmuir.
The funding will also see upgraded facilities, including improved car parks, platform shelters and new ticket vending machines at stations across the network, including those serving the Commonwealth Games.
Transport Minister Keith Brown said: “This investment will help enhance the train travel experience for passengers in West Dunbartonshire and hopefully encourage even more people to ditch the car and take the train.”
