Simona Ciocarlan, from West College Scotland’s Clydebank campus, captured cyclists taking part in Glasgow’s inaugural Harris Tweed Ride on camera to create a bright and uplifting image of life in the city.
Entrants were asked to supply photographs of the city and its people which will be used to promote the £24 million Future City, Glasgow programme, designed to show how technology could make life in the city smarter, safer and more sustainable.
The HNC Photography student said: “I take my camera everywhere with me and I love taking portraits. Glasgow is an amazing city for a photographer because of its architecture and the people who are so energetic and friendly.
“I’m delighted that one of my pictures was good enough to be selected as a runner up by the judges.”
