First Glasgow, which opearates its The One service throughout the area including Scotstoun, last week confirmed that many of its fares will be frozen although the price some fares will be increased.
All children’s tickets including the 60p Child Single fare will remain the same price along with the cost of fares on late night services while a trial which offers jobseekers significantly discounted single fares will be extended.
However, a number of fares including some adult single tickets have been increased.
Fiona Kerr, managing director of First Glasgow, said: “Despite rising costs and the ongoing challenging economy, I’m pleased we’ve been able to freeze many of our fares, including some of our most popular products.
“Unfortunately, we’ve had to increase the cost of some tickets, however I can assure customers that we’ve done everything we can to keep these increases to the absolute minimum.”
