A DELIGHTED Drumchapel mum will definitely be in the party mood after scooping a 10,000 prize. Lorna Wright was working at her job as a dispenser at Lloyds Pharmacy when she was surprised by Judie McCourt People's Postcode Lottery Street Prize presenter.

Julie broke the news to her that she had won the five-figure sum of cash.

The 44-year-old mum, who has been playing the Postcode Lottery for years, was over the moon to discover that she had won the huge sum of money and is already thinking of ways to spend the dosh - with a shopping spree top of her to do list.

Last week she told with the Post "I can't believe I've won I was just telling my colleagues about the Lottery and how it helps a lot of charities that I am passionate about. My boss has now signed up as a player." Mum-of-one Lorna made the decision to become a player as she was keen to support charities including Children 1ST and WWF Scotland.

She said: "I loved the idea of this Lottery as the players help raise money for so many different charities. I was looking to support a charity and People's Postcode Lottery seemed like the perfect way to do it. It's a huge bonus that I've now won 10,000!" Lorna was recently joined by her fianc, Martyn Savage and her colleagues from Lloyd's Pharmacy who were all thrilled to join in the celebrations.

She is now hoping to use the winnings on a deposit for a new house as well as spoiling Lorna's 17-year-old son, Christopher, and her niece Tracy, but is also planning to spend some of it on herself as well.

She joked: "I may also go on a bit of a shopping spree. It might be in Edinburgh but maybe even New York." Judie McCourt, People's Postcode Lottery Street Prize presenter and ambassador, added: "Lorna is clearly delighted with her win and the prize couldn't have gone to a lovelier person. I hope she treats herself and has a good old celebration tonight." So far players of People's Postcode Lottery have helped raise 29.5 million for charities and good causes across Great Britain.
