THE first meeting of a working group set up to tackle the problem of grass fires in West Dunbartonshire is expected to take place later this week.
Under the chairmanship of Chief Inspector Brian Auld, the group will discuss the issue and consider what tactics can best be employed to prevent fires in future. The group comprises representatives from the Forestry Commission, Fire and Rescue services, voluntary groups and West Dunbartonshire Council.
