A RUBBISH DEAL FOR DRIVERS Approximately 250,000 tons of rubbish will make its way to Clydebank every year under plans to build a multi-million pound waste plant which are due to be approved this week.

The move would see 144 lorries travel down Kilbowie and Dumbarton Road six days a week carrying rubbish to the Rothesay Dock site.

Critics of the plans claim that this would mean that one lorry would pass through the area every 1.5 minutes adding to existing traffic problems.

HOUSE PRICES SUFFER HUGE DROP House prices in Clydebank and the rest of West Dunbartonshire have recorded the largest drop in Scotland, it has been revealed.

The area experienced a drop of almost 17 per cent in a recent analysis of the property market.

In the last 12 months, the latest Scotland House Index by LSL Property Services highlighted that the average house price had fallen by 2.9 per cent.
