WHAT A JOKE
CLYDEBANK boss Budgie McGhie branded Ross McPherson's sending off a joke after he was given a second yellow for an alleged dive.
Whistler Graeme Stewart controversially gave the Bankies forward a second yellow for diving in the middle of the park.
However, the Holm Park boss insists it was a laughable decision and reckons his first booking - for a foul in the first half - was harsh.
He told Sport Scene: "I think the sending off was a joke to be honest, but if I say too much I'll get hauled over the coals.
"I thought it was a bit harsh. His first yellow wasn't even a foul. The player went down squealing like he had broken his leg and then two minutes later he was running about like there's nothing wrong with him.
"And his second booking, the guy's had two or three tugs at Archie before he booked him for diving.
"But we have to put all that behind us and deal with things better."
McGhie refused to use the dodgy decision as an excuse for their second Premier League defeat though and admitted his side need to be sharper up front and more solid at the back.
He added: "Petershill made it difficult for us and played one up front.
"They tried to sneak something and it worked for them. But we have to look at our own performance and ask the question can we do better and the answer is yes.
"Some of the boys that did well for us last year aren't in the same form, although it is a step up.
"We didn't create as many chances as we've been doing.
"We've got to look at what we're doing going forward but I don't think we defended well and we'll have to work on that."
