Cochno rocks for film
COCHNO waterworks provided the perfect setting for a heavy metal band to film their first ever music video.
The old pipes and graffiti gave the raw edge that Senzafine wanted in their video for Burn the Bridges, which was captured by Clydebank filmmaker Iain McGuinness.
Bass guitarist and singer Joe Cassidy, 27, knew Iain from their days at Clydebank High.
He is really pleased with the finished product and they hope to get the video shown on music channels.
Joe, from Mountblow, said: "I had heard that Iain was doing some film stuff and I thought he could do our video.
"He suggested the waterworks and when we saw it we all thought it was perfect."
Senzafine are already signed to record label Copro Records/Casket Music and have just finished recording their album, entitled Apex.
They hope to get it released in shops before the end of the year.
Joe said: "We're influenced a lot by 90s metal, but we don't want to sound like a generic metal band.
"We do put melodies into our songs - some metal bands don't do that.
"And there is quite a lot of hip hop and rap influence in our music.
"To some people it may just sound like a metal song but parts of it do actually have a rap beat."
Senzafine's record label plans to stock their CDs in HMV but the band is relying on the high-street retailer's support for smaller acts.
Joe added: "HMV is really the only major shop that stock CDs anymore.
"At the moment we are set to get the CD on to the shelves in HMV.
"However, they may change their policy and decide not to stock smaller bands anymore."
