Who needs a golden ticket? You could win £2,000 if you find a lucky Cadbury’s white chocolate Creme Egg this Easter.

However, the eggs have exactly the same purple, yellow and red foil packaging as their milk chocolate counterparts.

They also have the same filling but are encased in a white chocolate shell instead of milk chocolate.

Cadbury’s has made up to 400 of the limited-edition eggs.

The ultimate £2,000 prize egg is on sale at a Co-op supermarket.

While 34 other eggs worth £1,000 are hidden in newsagents and corner shops as well as Sainsbury's Local, Tesco Express and Co-op branches. There are prizes of at least £100 for each white chocolate egg discovered.

The eggs started appearing on shelves from New Year’s Day and will only be available until Sunday, April 1.
