WITH Recycle Week taking place this week, Zero Waste Scotland are encouraging local authorities and businesses in Clydebank to take action on plastic items.
Around 30,000 tonnes of recyclable plastic bottles end up in the country’s landfill each year including overlooked bottles such as shampoo and cleaning products.
Between September 24 and 30, Recycle Week campaigns to raise awareness of the importance of recycling across the UK.
Zero Waste Scotland are getting involved with the campaign to highlight how recycling the different kinds of plastic bottles around the home, as well as the workplace can make a difference for future generations.
Organisations in Clydebank are being asked to support the campaign by downloading the Recycle Week toolkit from zerowastescotland.org.uk/RecycleWeek2018Toolkit.
