HEALTH and social care employees have been recognised for their dedication and great delivery of services that improve residents’ lives.

At a recent awards ceremony, the West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership (WDHSCP) celebrated its caring, compassionate and dedicated employees.

The Our Patients award went to Crosslet Day Care Services for transforming support for older adults.

Alison Baird received the award for the successful roll out and development of the electronic e-health scheme within Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Services.

The Work Connect specialist employment service team won for their resilience following a fire which destroyed their building and its entire contents.

Meanwhile another gong went to the Sickness Absence Project for their commitment in reducing sickness absence within mental health services.

Beth Culshaw, WDHSCP chief officer, said: “It makes me extremely proud when I see and hear of staff within the partnership that regularly go above and beyond what is expected of them.

“These awards are our way of publicly thanking our staff and highlighting the great work they all do on our behalf.”

Allan McLeod, WDHSCP chairman, added: “It was a pleasure to be in the company of so many dedicated employees who have the care and welfare of our residents at the heart of everything they do.

“We have so many employees who are all worthy recipients of being award winners and it was a real challenge to whittle it down to just one in each category.”

There was also special recognition for the dedicated staff who continued to deliver services during the first ever red weather warning issued in Scotland. Staff worked tirelessly through the snow to deliver services to vulnerable residents.

All winners will attend the Celebrating Success Event in November where overall winners in each will go forward for the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Chairman’s Award at the NHS National Awards.
