Knightswood has been revealed as having the lowest pass rates in the UK for learner drivers last year.

The data was obtained by Confused.com from the DVSA during the process of creating an interactive calendar.

The new feature helps learners looking to book their test identify the best and worst dates of the year, as well as the most successful times of day, and days of the week according to previous statistics over the past five years.

The lowest pass rate in the UK last year, 37.5 per cent, was at the Knightswood centre, compared to the highest pass rate, 76.7 per cent, at the Golspie centre in the Highlands.

Amanda Stretton, motoring editor at Confused.com, said: “Taking a driving test, be it for the first or fifth time, is always a scary experience for learner drivers. So, we have tried to take the pressure off a little bit by creating the calendar.

“There is a myth that examiners only pass a certain number of students on one day, but this calendar proves that this isn’t the case. And there are clearly other factors that learners need to consider when it comes to booking their test.”
