Faifley Gala Day returns this weekend to provide fun for all the family.

On Saturday, July 21, children will be able to enjoy the fairground rides, bouncy castles, a dog show, DJ, vintage fire engines, craft stalls, face painting and much more.

Entry to the gala day is free and the event runs from 11am until 3pm.

The weather is forecast to be much better this year, compared to last July’s near wash-out that saw very soaked residents show their enthusiasm for the community regardless.

Faifley Community Council chairwoman Claire Gallagher told the Post: “Last year’s gala was good and it was great to see everyone come together. However, Faifley can do better than that this year.

“The sun will be shining for us and we want everyone to come along and embrace the community spirit of Faifley and make this the best gala day ever.”

A competition - Faifley’s Got Talent - will also be held on the day and the winners will be taking home cash prizes of up to £100.
