FINAL rehearsals are underway ahead of the annual show by the world renowned Dance School of Scotland.

The dance school, based in Knightswood Secondary, is gearing up for its annual showcase in the Theatre Royal next week.

Artistic Director Ken Burke said: "This year we have 60 young people taking part. It is a wonderful chance for people to see the stars of the future.

"The quality and standard of our dancers is extremely high and these are the names you will be hearing about in the future."

The S5 and S6 pupils from the musical theatre course are this year putting on Legally Blonde from next Wednesday.

Graham added: "It's a really complicated show but I have it redesigned specifically for my needs.

"From the moment it starts it's high energy and in your face. We have two really strong girls playing Elle Woods.

"Audiences will love it."

Councillor Chris Cunningham, city convener for education, skills and early years, said: “These are two of the best shows in town and not to be missed.

“The calibre of the students from the Dance School of Scotland and musical theatre course at Knightswood Secondary School is amazing and no wonder they all go on to tread the boards of theatres and dance and performing arts schools around the world.”
