THE family of tragic Clydebank schoolgirl Paige Doherty have been left devastated after a callous crook stole materials from the teen's memorial garden.
A thief was captured on CCTV lifting astroturf from the memorial garden, which is currently being built near the 15-year-old's home town of Bishopbriggs.
Thousands of pounds have been raised through the family's charity, Paige's Promise, to produce the Kinnaird Place site - which will hold a special meaning for parents Andy and Pamela Munro, as well as Paige's siblings Andrew, 16, Peyton, six, two-year-old Lucas and one-year-old Penny.
However, it was hoped the site would also be of use for other families who had lost loved ones or those who had been touched by Paige's death in Clydebank in March 2016.
The theft occurred around 4am on Thursday.
Mum Pamela, 35, said: "I'm disgusted, I can't believe someone would steal this."
Contractors Cosmetic Gardening and Driveways said they were "gutted" and urged anyone who was offered the goods or had information to come forward.
