A MAN who accused his partner of cheating and smashed up their home later admitted he had anger issues.

Kieron Brown had been out drinking on March 26 when he returned home in Onslow Road, Drumry, where his girlfriend was sleeping.

An argument broke out during which the 23-year-old accused her of cheating, heard Dumbarton Sheriff Court on May 18.

He told her, “F****** admit it” and threw items of furniture including a table and several cans of Irn Bru.

A witness heard smashing and a woman shouting “calm down” and called police.

Officers could hear shouting from the common close and banging from upstairs., including Brown shouting: “I don’t f****** care, let them in.”

The woman opened the door for police and was visibly upset and crying.

Brown told officers: “I lost my temper. I have anger issues.”

Last month he pleaded guilty to shouting, swearing, throwing furniture and causing fear and alarm.

Defence solicitor Phil Lafferty told the court his client recognised what he did was wrong and inappropriate.

He said: “His partner had done nothing to instigate that at all. The couple have separated.

“He has a fairly mature attitude, now.”

Sheriff John Hamilton said his behaviour was “unacceptable” and ordered him to do 100 hours of unpaid work in the community. He will also be under social work supervision for nine months for his issues.
