CHILDREN and carers got involved in the fun at the recent Singer Festival in Clydebank.

The event, which remembered the factory and the people who worked there, had a special bookbug session themed around textiles.

Tots were treated to a sing song and some rhyming fun at the 30-minute session on May 4, as they learned about sewing in a fun environment.

There was a healthy turnout as young and old came together and had a great time.

A spokeswoman for West Dunbartonshire Council said: “We had a great turn out at the bookbug sewing special planned to tie in with the Singer Stories Festival.“The children and their carers joined in with songs and action rhymes and the story was ‘The Flying Sewing Machine’ by Nancy Zieman. Every child received a bookbug goody bag and a bookbug sticker to mark the occasion.”
