Greenspace are working with West Dunbartonshire Council’s education department to create more forest school sites throughout the district.

The popular programme creates an opportunity for young people to learn more about the outdoors in a fun and safe environment.

The chance to volunteer and help set up will be available today, Wednesday, May 16 at Auchnacraig Woodland Park in Faifley.

People are encouraged to meet at the entrance at Waulkingmill Road at 1pm. It runs until 3pm.

The learner-centred approach of forest school interweaves with the ever-changing moods and marvels, potential and challenges of the natural world through the seasons.

Every session and programme aims to procude discovery and difference.

Yet each programme does also share a common set of principles, aimed at ensuring that all learners experience the cumulative and lasting benefits that forest school offers.

Tools and equipment will be provided, as well as refreshments.

Participants should wear boots and clothes that can get dirty. Book by emailing Gillian.neil@west-dunbarton.gov.uk.
