A CLYDEBANK man who threw a cup at his partner almost a year ago has been admonished after behaving himself since.
Jonathan McIntyre, 34, was praised by a sheriff at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week for turning his life around.
Sentence had been deferred for him to be of good behaviour after he shouted and sore at the woman in Ellinger Court on May 23 last year.
Sheriff Maxwell Hendry, admonishing him, said McIntyre had “pages and pages of previous convictions” but that it was rare to read words in a report such as “Jonathan has made incredible progress”.
He said: “You are entitled to be proud of yourself.”
But he noted the report also warned McIntyre could not be complacent and said: “With help and guidance, You have what it takes to lead a decent and law-abiding life. But it takes 100 per cent effort.”
