KFC in Clydebank has now reopened after being blighted with stock problems since Thursday.
The fast food restaurant on Livingston Street was one of hundreds of outlets up and down the UK that had been forced to shut due to teething problems after KFC brought a new delivery partner onboard.
A source confirmed to the Post the restaurant had closed due to “a supply shortage”.
However, the branch reopened at 6pm yesterday with a limited menu – including no ice cream, krushems, coleslaw or various salad items.
The restaurant had originally shut on Thursday afternoon around 4pm and was closed intermittently over the weekend.
A KFC spokesman said: “We’ve set up a page on our website –kfc.co.uk/crossed-the-road – so our fans can check where their nearest open restaurant is, and we’re updating this as regularly as we can.
"Our teams are working flat out all hours to get the rest back up and running as soon as possible – but it’s too early to say how long it will take to clear the backlog.”
A tweet issued earlier by the company stated:

The Post can also confirm it was able to purchase a boneless banquet this morning.
