A BANKIE who grabbed another man round the neck with his arm and held him has been fined £100.

Patrick McArthur, formerly of Victoria Street and now of Brunswick House, previously admitted the assault of January 5, 2017, at the Blue Triangle. He was on bail at the time.

After staying out of trouble since last August, Sheriff Maxwell Hendry told 18-year-old McArthur last week: “You now have a conviction for assault and that may be something that comes back to haunt you.”
