A LAUNDRETTE blaze has resulted in an ATM being made insecure in Parkhall last night.
The fire at the Duntocher Road business is understood to have taken hold just after 9pm on Tuesday evening.
Police and fire teams attended and cops remain on scene this morning.
Local reports claimed that the cash machine had been targeted, however the Post has confirmed the ATM was affected by the fire.
A spokesman for SFRS, added: ”The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 9.20pm on Tuesday, January 23 to reports of a fire at a business premise on Duntocher Road, Clydebank.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised three fire appliances to the scene, and firefighters used powerful water jets to extinguish the fire.
“SFRS crews left the scene at 12.13am on Wednesday January 24 after ensuring the area was made safe.”
The incident follows an 'explosion' at an ATM near Farmfoods, Glasgow Road, on January 11.
A 51-year-old man was critically injured in that explosion and another man, 48, was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
