POLICE are appealing for witnesses to the vandal who smashed an elderly woman’s window at her Drumchapel home last week.
The incident took place at Heathcot Avenue in Drumchapel on Friday, January 12 at 4.35pm.
After breaking the 87-year-old woman’s window, police believe that the culprit ran towards the nearby swimming pool at Drumry Road.
The woman’s daughter-in-law posted on social media: “My 87-year-old mother-in-law who has lived in Drumchapel for most of her life has had her living room window smashed.
“If anyone has seen anything or anyone looking suspicious around this time please contact Drumchapel police.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We received a report that at 4.35pm on Friday, January 12 a window was smashed at Heathcot Avenue.
“Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
