A Clydebank-based call centre joined thousands of Scots in Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens earlier this month as part of a mass sleepout event to raise awareness of homelessness.

A team from Ascensos – including those based at the Clydebank centre – raised around £4,000 from a range of events for the campaign run by charity Social Bite, with around 8,000 people from across Scotland believed to have taken part on the night itself.

The sleep-out was the culmination of a series of events run by the Ascensos team, also including a “pyjama day” at the office and the Great Ascensos Sleepover - where staff were rewarded with computer games, hot chocolate and even a bedtime story from the company’s boss John Devlin.

Mr Devlin added: “Despite the sub-zero temperatures on the night, the atmosphere was one of community, uniting all those who took part including our teams who had been raising funds in the weeks leading up to the event.
