PROUD parents packed the hall in Bonhill Primary last week for their annual nativity performance.

The popular show was put on my primary one, two and three pupils a whopping three times as the school was forced to put on extra date due to the high demand for tickets.

With 50 pupils in the primary one class alone, the school opened the dress rehearsal to the public to make sure no mum, dad, granny or grandad missed out on their little one's shining moment.

A spokeswoman for the school said the pupils were "absolutely fantastic".

She added: "They're wee superstars.

"We spent a couple of weeks teaching them the songs. Primary one are our cast, primary two are our choir and primary three do the narrations.

"They did absolutely brilliantly, the parents loved it and said they were so cute and it was really well rehearsed. They were very proud of their children."

Now, the acting stars will enjoy a well-deserved Christmas break but they'll be back at work for next year's show in no time.
