WATERFRONT Parish Church held its first Christmas fair with its newly merged congregations this month.
Rev Dr Ruth Morrison welcomed families from the former St Cuthbert’s in Linnvale into the renamed Abbotsford church in Clydebank town centre for food, drink, stalls and friendship.
The church raised £2,540 towards church funds.
Rev Morrison told the Post: “The fair was a great success. We are very appreciative to all those who donated items, helped set up and came along and supported our efforts.”
The church is open every Wednesday in Advent between 10am and 2pm. Rev Morrison said they hoped to offer a quiet, warm space away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations for residents to sit quietly or enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with some company.
