LINNVALE Primary welcomed the entire community for their third annual Christmas fair last week.
The school was packed with pupils, staff, parents, grandparents, neighbours and friends for stalls, food, Santa, games and plenty of music.
As well as a very festively dressed choir and the Salvation Army Band, there were more than a few whistles doing the rounds throughout Thursday evening as well.
Head teacher Lindsay Thomas told the Post special thanks needed to go to the parent council and in particular Rosanna Elliot.
She said: "It was a great success. The parent council organised a wonderful event which drew in the whole community. Rosanna was in charge of fundraising and did a great job of publicising and getting people selling tables.
"The parent council have subsidised our trip to the panto so it's really valuable doing this. The generosity of people is amazing.
"The choir did a great job making everyone feel festive and this is a great start to the festive season at Linnvale."
