A WHITECROOK man, who committed a series of thefts, but has stayed out of trouble since, has been told by a sheriff to continue to be of good behaviour.
Stephen White, 40, of Davidson Street, stole a quantity of alcohol from Scotmid, in the town’s Riddell Street. The theft happened on June 13, 2015. He then stole a quantity of mountain bikes from neighbours in Davidson Street, on April 25, 2016. At the time of the second theft he was on bail from Dumbarton Sheriff Court, an order imposed on him on June 29, 2015.
He was put on a community payback order when he appeared for sentence previously on the two charges. The order included 18 months’ supervision and a seven month tagging order.
White appeared last Friday at Dumbarton Sheriff Court as part of his community payback continuous review, in front of Sheriff Simon Pender.
Defence lawyer Judith Reid said: “He appears to have made good progress.”
The sheriff set a further review for February 2 and ordained him to appear and told him to continue to be of good behaviour.
