A YOKER gran is recovering from a shocking incident where she and her baby grandson were threatened with a foot-long butcher knife in their home.

Police are appealing for witnesses to what happened Friday evening in Fulwood Avenue when a man in his 30s walked into the property through an unlocked front door.

There were no injuries and nothing was taken and police officers in Drumchapel are investigating the reasons for the intrusion.

In a post to Facebook, the 48-year-old victim urged residents to keep their doors locked and “be vigilant”.

She wrote: “I was sitting watching Finding Dory with my 17-month-old grandson when some low life walked into my living room with a foot-long butchers knife and demanded me up the stairs.

“I don’t quite know where I got the courage from but I managed to scream upstairs to my son to call the police and tried to force him out my house.

“Unknown to me, there was another one standing guard outside my front door.

“Thankfully, we are all ok but totally shaken with the experience. Please all keep your front doors locked and be vigilant. I don’t want anyone else to have to experience this.”

Police revealed one suspect, aged in his 30s, is described as six feet tall, medium build, wearing a dark Parker jacket with a fur hood and dark blue and green tartan scarf around his neck. The second suspect was also six feet fall with a heavy build wearing a dark-coloured jacket.

A spokesman for Drumchapel police said: “Around 4.50pm on Friday, November 17 police were called to a report of an intruder in a house on Fulwood Avenue, Glasgow.

“A 48-year-old woman was in the house with her teenage son and grandchild at the time and the intruder made off from the property when he was disturbed by them.

“Nobody was injured and nothing was stolen during the incident. Enquires are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”

Anyone with information on the men is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
