There are no prizes for guessing what Mia Rosa Bogle, from Dumbarton, told Santa she wanted for Christmas when they met up at the weekend.

Just like the famous novelty song, the six-year-old said to him: “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!”

Bosses at Cardwell Garden Centre in Gourock had invited a dozen youngsters, who had two front teeth missing, to meet up with Santa at their grotto, which is now open every weekend until Christmas Eve and on weekdays from November 27.

Cardwell’s retail general manager, Paul Carmichael said: “We thought it would be fun for the youngsters to be able to tell Santa they wanted their missing two front teeth back for Christmas.

“We had an amazing response when we asked for people to send us photos of their kids with missing front teeth and we had more than 130 pictures sent in to us.

“Santa’s elves in his dentistry workshop are certainly going to be busy in the run up to Christmas making all those teeth if every youngster is to get their wish!”

Cardwell has also organised a Breakfast With Santa, which includes a breakfast meal, hear a story from Father Christmas, a carnival ride and a personally-labelled gift from Santa.

These events are taking place between 10am and 11am every Saturday and Sunday from November 25 and also weekdays running up to Christmas December 21 to 24.
