The best young runners in West Dunbartonshire took to Balloch Park last month to battle it out for district honours at West Dunbartonshire Leisure's Cross Country event.
There was an impressive turnout of 742 runners representing 25 primary school and six secondary schools.
Local primary schools Gartocharn, Gavinburn, St Patrick's Balloch and St Mary's took part along with Dumbarton Academy and Vale of Leven Academy.
There was wins for Gavinburn in the P5 Girls event, Balloch in the P7 Boys race and St Mary's in the P7 Girls.
While Dumbarton Academy had an medal-laden afternoon with wins in S1 Girls, S5 Boys, S5 Girls and S6 Boys.
West Dunbartonshire Leisure spokesman Angus MacDonald said: “Another very successful event held by West Dunbartonshire Leisure. It was great to see so many athletes getting involved. Each year we aim to make it bigger and better and this can be seen by the number of entries. A big thankyou to the schools for their support and thanks to all coaches, volunteers and staff from Sports Development & Active Schools."
