A schoolboy, aged 13, has been arrested in connection with alleged wilful fire-raising and vandalism at a Clydebank garage.
Police confirmed today the boy will be subject of a report over the incident.
Officers had appealed for information into the incident at Arnold Clark in Great Western Road on Hallowe'en where a Nissan Qashqai was set alight and four other cars were allegedly vandalised.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they did not attend the incident, which reportedly took place between about 11pm and midnight.
Police Scotland stated: "A 13-year-old boy will be the subject of a report to the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration and the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident."
Speaking before the arrest, Roddy Morrison, Arnold Clark's general manager at Clydebank Ford, told the Post: "I would like to thank the emergency services for their quick response."
