Loch Lomond Hockey Club’s first team clinched a crucial 1-0 win at home to title chasing Kelburne at the weekend.
Straight from the off, Loch Lomond’s strong defending pushed the game forward as they created some great opportunities and put the pressure on the opposition defence.
They made the breakthrough when Vanessa Sabala found the net.
In the second half the home side kept the pressure up but Kelburne came back into the match as the injuries took their toll on the attacking line.
Kelburne had a few unsuccessful shots on goal that were well saved by Loch Lomond goalkeeper Heather Smith and Lomond held on for the win.
