Police have re-appealed for information regarding the whereabouts of Clydebank woman Karen Brown one week after she disappeared from from her home. 

Karen, 47, is understood to have left her home in Kirkwood Avenue prior to her husband waking up around 7am on Saturday, October 14.

She was due to go to her work at Asda in the town centre around 10am that morning, but did not turn up.

From enquiries carried out so far, there has been a confirmed sighting of Karen on CCTV at Buchanan Street Bus Station around 8.20am on the Saturday getting on a Mega Bus to London.

There was also been a potential sighting of Karen in the Hamleys toy store in London.

When seen on CCTV at Buchanan Street Bus Station, Karen, who is white, about 5' 6" height, of medium build, with collar length brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was wearing a pink fleece, blue jeans, white trainers and was carrying a green Asda bag for life.

The woman seen at Hamleys, who is believed to be Karen, was wearing a burgundy Puffa style jacket, blue jeans and which trainers, and was also carrying an Asda bag for life.

Inspector David Quinn from Clydebank Police Station told the Post: “It has now been a week since Karen went missing and police, along with her family and friends, are extremely concerned for her wellbeing.

“An extensive investigation is ongoing to trace Karen and officers are working closely with colleagues at the Met as well as Hampshire Constabulary, as she is known to have links to that area.

“The response from members of the public has been fantastic and I would continue to ask people to spread the word and help us bring Karen home safe and well.

“I would appeal to anyone who thinks they may have seen Karen, or who has information regarding her whereabouts, to please come forward.

“I would also appeal to Karen directly to please make contact with someone to let them know she is ok. Her family and friends are desperately worried about her and just want her to come home.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Clydebank Police Station via 101 and quote incident number 3818 of the October 14 2017.”
