CLYDEBANK and north-west Glasgow residents are being asked to give their views on bus services in the areas by the end of this week.

Citizen’s Advice Scotland (CAS) are running a Better Buses survey until October 22 with the aim of feeding into a new Transport Bill being introduced in 2018.

Around 80 per cent of public transport journeys in Scotland are taken by bus, with many relying on the network. But a fifth of bus routes have been cut in the last decade and fares have spiked by 18 per cent in the last five years, said CAS.

Both Drumchapel and Clydebank also face significant issues with bus transport to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, with active campaigners from both areas.

The survey can be found at cas.org.uk/betterbuses.
