A DUNTOCHER man who represented himself in court has been ordered to pay a fine.
John Bonnar, 44, admitted driving a car on Kilbowie Road on February 3, 2016 with passengers who did not have proper seating, a seat belt or other restraining device, putting them in danger.
Bonnar, of Davies Square, also admitted using the car without a test certificate on the same date.
Dumbarton Sheriff Court heard police carrying out road safety checks discovered the passengers in the cargo compartment of Bonnar’s Land Rover.
Sheriff Simon Pender ordered Bonnar to pay a fine of £400 for the first charge and gave him three penalty points. For the second charge he was ordered to pay £160, at the rate of £20 a week.
