A THUG who threatened to torch his victims’ car if they reported him to the police has been tagged.

Anthony Rasmussen showed up at a house on Merryton Avenue on March 15 where two men were standing outside looking at their fire damaged car.

Rasmussen, 23, from Lilac Avenue in Clydebank, asked one of the men if he had threatened his girlfriend with a baseball bat.

He began threatening the pair, saying: “I’ll put you in the boot of my car and no-one will ever see you again” and “if you go to the police, that will happen again”, pointing to the burnt out car.

Rasmussen appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week for sentencing after pleading guilty to acting in a threatening and abusive manner.

Sheriff Divers tagged him for 15 weeks and ordered him to carry out 130 hours of unpaid work.
