A WOMAN told police her name was “Mickey Mouse” and said she had Aids as she spat at them, a court has heard.

Claire Mundie previously admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on July 5 last year.

The 33-year-old also admitted assaulting a police officer in Clydebank that day and failing to appear at court on April 19 this year.

Fiscal depute Martina McGuigan told the court officers were called to the property in East King Street, Helensburgh, around 9.10pm and found Mundie had smashed her own windows.

She said: “Officers attempted to engage her in conversation. She was extremely hostile. She began to shout and swear, such as ‘f*** off’ and ‘I will not give my f****** details’.

“She stated her name was ‘Mickey Mouse’.

“She was placed in the rear of the police vehicle and began to spit on the window within, continuing the shout and swear: ‘I’ve got f****** Aids.’”

A spit hood was applied and the woman continued to kick the doors of the police vehicle on several occasions.

Within Clydebank police office, she launched towards an officer and attempted to butt him in the head, then kick him on the leg.

Mundie wasn’t charged at the time because of the state she was in.

Mundie’s defence solicitor said: “She accepts her behaviour was totally unjustified.

“There is nothing in the medical report to indicate she can’t carry out unpaid work.”

Another case against Mundie, is being heard on September 4 and Sheriff Maxwell Hendry said Mundie would sentenced for all matters then.

He told her: “Your record is not the worst but your recent behaviour is simply intolerable.

“I recognise all the difficulties in your life – you have to learn to regulate your behaviour.”
